Confidential High-Speed Surface Drive Project

A confidential high-performance surface-drive vessel was experiencing performance limitations that prevented it from achieving its contracted speed targets with the original OEM propeller package.

As the local VEEM representative, our team worked closely with the customer and key project stakeholders to assess the vessel's performance, coordinate technical evaluations, and provide direct access to VEEM's specialist engineering expertise. Acting as the link between the customer and VEEM's engineering team, we ensured the project moved efficiently from assessment through to implementation.

Based on the vessel's operating requirements, an optimised VEEMSurf propeller package was developed to maximise performance while maintaining reliability.

The results exceeded expectations. The upgraded propeller package enabled the vessel to surpass 60 knots and accelerate from idle to full speed in under 35 seconds, successfully meeting the project's demanding performance objectives.
